A-Zero Architects is a RIBA chartered practice based in London.

Since 2010, the studio’s work has focused on designing and procuring buildings in a way that doesn’t harm the environment. Working predominantly in the residential sector, the practice enjoys working at a variety of scales from residential retrofits to new build houses, to mixed use developments. They strive to create joyful spaces using a palette of natural materials, whilst targeting low energy performance, including the Passivhaus standard.

A-Zero works collaboratively with clients through all stages of a project, from feasibility, planning, detailed design, and tendering to contract administration during construction, and aim to embed environmental considerations through all of these stages, combining functional, cost-effective architecture with a sense of specificity to the client and the place.

Founded by architect Alex Nikjoo, London-based architecture practice and interior consultancy Nikjoo prides itself on creating adaptable design solutions that flex with the demands of everyday living. With a roster of both private and commercial clients that includes a school, private homes and a world-famous department store, the firm is as adept at conjuring up a temporary installation as it is in transforming an ex-mission-house-turned-home-studio.
