As you may have heard, there have been some exciting changes here at Aucoot of late. With founder John McDavid passing over custodianship of the agency to new owner Dan O’Brien, and with Charlie Monaghan and Akua Danso joining him to form a new team, we thought this new chapter required a celebration.

And so, on a sunny afternoon last month, we invited friends old and new to join us for lunch at Bistro Freddie in Shoreditch to mark the journey so far and toast to the future. Guests from the worlds of architecture, design and interiors, as well as home and property journalists, joined the new Aucoot team and founder John McDavid, to mark this moment of transition and the passing of reins.

With everyone assembled and drinks in hands, Dan made a speech that set the tone for this new chapter, one in which we will continue to be a community-focused agency, and look to offer a trustworthy and personable service to our clients. With our new team, we are excited to be able to offer Dan’s decades’ worth of experience in the residential market, Charlie’s brand experience at The Modern House, and Akua’s knowledge of buildings and renovations gained as a practising architect to form a modern, professional agency that marries design appreciation with commercial acumen.
